Race Information
About the course
- Race day is May 22nd!
- Runners report at 11:00 AM
- The start of the race is at 12:00 PM
- Our course is located at the Brandon Township Community Park Located in Ortonvill Michigan at the intersection of North Hadley Road and Oakwood Road.
- Our course is easy to follow and excellent for participants of all ages and athletic ability.
- Participants may run, jog or walk at their own pace.
- The race consists of two loops though the course, each loop is roughly one and a half miles long. Maps will be provided on race day. Participants may chose to do one lap if they feel necessary.
- We utilize the pre-designed course used for the Brandon Varsity Cross Country meets. This course is off road and loops though out the park, winding though woods, fields and common areas.
- The race will be almost entirely off road on grass, with a few small rolling hills. The terrain is relatively flat with few obstacles.
- Restrooms and parking is available at the park
- No dogs will be permitted in the park or on the course, excluding service dogs.
- All rules and guidelines for standard use of the park put in place by the township must be followed.
- Jogging strollers are not permitted due to the terrain but y .
- All athletes and volunteers must be registered.
- All participants and volunteers are expected follow all regulations put into place by the Township and Blackhawk COLOR RUN race organizers.
- All participants, spectators and volunteers are expected to have good sportsmanship, show good race conduct and be respectful of other volunteers, participants and spectators
- All color run powder used in this event is safe for its intended purpose.
- Participants and volunteers are forbidden from throwing color powder into their own, or anyone else's eyes or mouth.
- Any person or persons wishing to participate must be of good physical health. Although the race does include a walking option for those who chose not to run, all participants should be in the appropriate physical condition to participate.
- All of our colors used in the run are of high quality, safe for use on humans and animals, hypo-allergenic and biodegradable.
- All color will mostly wash out of clothing, skin and hair.
- If any potential participants or volunteers are subject to any condition that may cause respiratory distress, or may result in difficulty in walking the course, it is recommended that they take proper precautionary measures if they chose to participate. Clouds of color may form in the air that could potentially cause minor breathing hazard, temporarily, until the cloud clears.
- In the event of inclement weather, the race will be cancelled at the digression of the race director. All purchases and registration are non-refundable.

- Online registration will be available on our "Register Now!" page February 25th, along with a preview of our apparel and products and an printible version of the registration from that may be presented on either the day before the race (May 21st) as well as race day (May 22nd).
- Pre- registration ends Saturday April 23th.
- Runners report at 11:00 AM
- The start of the race is at 12:00 PM
- A Blackhawk COLOR RUN t-shirt, and goodie bag is included in the registration fee. Additional t-shirts will be available for purchase on race day while supplies last.
- Day of registration is available. The price for race registration will increase after the April 23th deadline. See our "Register Now!" page for more information.
- A t-shirt and goodie bag will not be guaranteed to any and all participants who chose to register after the April 23th deadline.
