What is a Color Run?
A Color Run is a 5 kilometer (3.1 miles) running or walking event in which participants are bombarded with safe, hypoallergenic, biodegradable colored powder.
This event and other such color run are inspired by the traditional Indian Holi Festival of Color. Participants in this festivity throw colored holi powder into the air, on one another and on themselves.
The powder is intended to make a mess of beautiful and exciting colors! Participants are encouraged to get as colorful as possible! Often, participants in a color run will preserve the color from the powder on their clothing. This can be done useing a simple guide found on our "We Will Rock Hue" page.
